Finding Good Medicine
Looking for the best place to stay in Whitefish, MT, to be close to everything? Look no further than Good Medicine Lodge. Bonsai Brewery is right next door, Stumptown Ice Den is located only a block away, and Whitefish Mountain Resort is about 15 minutes drive (or by the S.N.O.W. bus shuttle – free with stops at our B&B daily). Downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Lake City Beach access is a quick fifteen minute walk or five minutes by bike. Glacier National Park is only twenty four minutes to the west entrance. And the list goes on and on……..
Good Medicine Lodge was built in 1978 by Lindal Cedar Homes, a well known lodge-style home manufacturing company. The original structure of the property was the first ever built by Lindal in the state of Montana. It is constructed of square cedar logs, high pitched ceilings and features large panoramic windows on the front facade. Over the years, the property has gone through several transformations making it into the nine bedroom Bed and Breakfast that it is today. The final result is a perfect balance of elegance and warmth on the interior and exquisitely crafted exterior. Tastefully influenced by Native American culture, the roomy interiors are punctuated by crackling fireplaces, rustic art and solid wood furnishings.
Ryan and Sara Grenier, have graciously accepted the torch passed down from the previous couple, Betsy and Woody Cox, who ran the successful B&B for 17 years. Recently moved from Oakland, CA, they are anxious to begin a lifelong dream of Innkeeping. They have two sons Dylan (age 7) and Caleb (age 2). The Greniers love skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking and all the other fun activities Whitefish and the surrounding areas have to offer. Ryan has a twenty year background in personal training, working with people to gain balance and health back into their daily lives. Sara has hospitality, retail, food service, interior design and project management background. Their experience and passion for adventure will enable them to provide each guest with knowledge and guidance in finding what they are after, no matter the journey.
